GABRIEL DEDJI
I am Gabriel Dedji, the author of The Escape: A Tale of Change and Revolution. On my author blog, I’ll be sharing posts with you as often as possible concerning not only my book but the interests of the man behind it. This will most frequently entail music, politics/international relations and appreciation for other works of literature. From time to time I might even post some bite-sized stories that I’ve written.
You can keep up with all the news of my upcoming events and/or any information that I want to share with you all through my news page which is also available on this site. Many of these will be Q&A’s and talk sessions where I will answer any of your questions about the book and the process behind it. As to not spoil the book for anyone, these will most likely occur in 2020 to allow time for people to read it and form their own perspective on it before I answer any questions.
For my first post however, I can briefly explain what The Escape is about. Usually, when asked this question, I summarise the blurb to avoid a rambling answer but now I have blog! Thus, I would like to conclude this first post with a longer and more apt explanation.
The Escape is a story of escaping from a troubled life, it’s an account of escaping destiny and, quite importantly, it could represent an escape from reality. Hopefully, you’ll find it to be a poignant story since we all wish to escape from whatever it is that confines us within the constant cycles that we inhabit day to day. Be it our jobs, our schools, the government or whatever, we all wish to escape something in search of something else much freer than the lives which we currently live. Surely, it is only through change and revolution that we can break free from these intangible chains.
